PURPOSE STATEMENT :
The Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene seeks to honor God by lovingly proclaiming the redemptive message of Hope and Holiness at home and abroad till all shall come to the fullness of the stature of Christ".
WE ARE A CHRISTIAN PEOPLE :
We are part of the Church universal. We proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ and embrace the historical Trinitarian Creedal statements of the Christian faith.
WE ARE A HOLINESS PEOPLE :
God, who is holy, calls all persons to a life of Holiness. The Holy Spirit seeks to cleanse us from all sin, renew us in the image of God and empower us to love God with our whole being and our fellowman as ourselves. We greatly value our Wesleyan Holiness heritage and believe holiness of life to most clearly be understood as Christlikeness.
WE ARE A MISSIONAL PEOPLE :
Responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be ambassadors of God, we go into all the world to bear witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
